She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
on a snow white Christmas eve.
Going home to see her momma and her daddy
with the baby in the back seat.
Fifty miles to go,
and she was running low on faith and gasoline.
It’d been a long, hard year.

She had a lot on her mind
and she didn’t pay attention
She was going way too fast.
and before she knew it,
she was spinning on a thin, black sheet of glass.
She saw both their lives
flash before her eyes,
she didn’t even have time to cry
She was so scared.
She threw her hands up in the air.

when she made it to the shoulder

This is so neat….This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a “sweet duty.”

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God’s guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger ; the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, “The least shall be the greatest among you.” Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively

You Say: No one loves me.
GOD Says: I love you.
Bible verse: Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward
us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died
for us”

You Say: I am tired.
GOD Says: I will give you rest.
Bible Verse: Mathew 11:28-30 “Come to me all you who labor and are
heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke
upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly
in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For
My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

You Say: It’s impossible.
GOD Says: All things are possible.
Bible Verse: Mark 9:23 “If you can believe, all things are possible
to him who believes”

You Say: I am afraid.
GOD Says: I have not given you a spirit of fear.
Bible Verse: 2 Timothy 1: 7 “For God has not given us a spirit of
fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

You Say: It’s not worthy it.
GOD Says: It will be worthy it.
Bible Verse: Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together
for good to those who love God, to those who are the
called according to His purpose”

You Say: I can’t manage.
GOD Says: I can manage (I shall supply all your needs)
Bible Verse: Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your
need according to His riches in Glory by Jesus
Christ.”

You Say: I feel alone
GOD Says: I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Bible Verse: Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conduct be without
covetousness: Be content with such things as you have.
For He himself has said “I will never leave you nor
forsake you.”

You Say: I am not able.
GOD Says: I am able.
Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace
abound toward you, that you,always having all
sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for
every good work.”

You Say: I am always worried and frustrated.
GOD Says: Cast all care upon me.
Bible Verse: 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him, for He
cares for you.”

You Say: I can’t figure things out.
GOD Says: I will direct your path.
Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the lord with all your heart,
and learn not on your understanding.I n all your ways
acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your path.”

You Say: I can’t go on.
GOD Says: My grace is sufficient for you.
Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, my
strength is made perfect in weakness.”…”

You Say: I can’t forgive myself.
GOD Says: I will forgive you.
Bible Verses: Isaiah 1:18 and 1John1:9
Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the lord, “Though your sins are like Scarlet
(bright red colour), They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as
wool.”

1John1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.”

You Say: I don’t have enough faith.
GOD Says: I have given each one a measure of faith.
Bible Verse: Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given to me,
to everyone who is among you,not to think of himself
more highly than he ought to think, But to think
soberly, as God as dealt to each one a measure of
faith.”

You Say: I am tempted.
GOD Says: I will provide a way out and I will not allow you to be
tempted beyond what you are able.
Bible Verses: 2 Peter 2:9 and 1 Corinthians 10:13
2 Peter 2:9 “Then the lord knows how to deliver the
godly out of temptations and reserve the unjust under
punishment for the day of Judgment.”

1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you
except such as is common to man; but God is faithful
who will not allow you be tempted beyond what you are
able, but with temptations will also make the way of
escape, that you may bear it.”

You Say: I am not smart.
GOD Says: I will give wisdom.
Bible Verse: James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of
God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach,
and it will be given to him.”

You Say: I don’t know what the future holds for me.
GOD Says: I know the future I have for you.
Bible Verse: Jeremiah 29:11 “I alone know the plans that I have
for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not
disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope
for.”

God loves you so much friend and He perfectly demonstrated is love for you by giving up His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish But have everlasting life (John 3:16). You were created and existing by His will (Revelations 4:11) and He is not willing that anyone should perish (2 Peter 3:9) but that all should be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of Heaven. In a kingdom were God will wipe away every tear from eyes, there shall be no more death, crying, sorrow, nor poverty… (Revelations 21:4)

Remember to pass this on you never know who may need it.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

“LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me.”

The LORD replied:

“My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.”
